Abstract:
The presentation "Hyperthermia in oncologic treatments" gives an introduction in the principles of hyperthermia in oncologic treatments, containing some of the current concepts of mechanisms. Using the example of clinical studies, the temperature dependence of the hyperthermia effects is shown. At the end the application flow of a hyperthermia treatment is demonstrated, together with typical side effects and contraindications.
