Investigation of normal and disturbed brain function, including for neurosurgery (e.g. tumor and epilepsy surgery), through the merger of electrophysiological and magnetic resonance-based data, as well as through the use of transcranial magnetic stimulation. This is a multifaceted and multidisciplinary project involving:
• Source localization of epileptiform activity
• Classification of individual recordings (single trials) of signals from the brain with so-called evolutionary algorithms
• The development of fMRI-based methods for cortical localization of specific functions such as language, hand function, etc..
• EEG-registration of MR-camera, the EEG and the simultaneous fMRI analysis
