Health care providers see a need for eHealth platforms for supporting remote monitoring and interaction with chronically ill patients, or patients in need of longer “follow-up” and interaction with the healthcare provider.

The aim of the project is to develop a generic platform concept for increased treatment compliance, personalized care, improved patient involvement and extended and more reliable individual information for decision making. All leading to better treatment outcome, increased efficiency, cost savings and improved patient security as well as safety.
A final system would be an internet based solution utilizing a modern cost-effective, robust and easily supported client server solution with web-interfaces for all users. The system can run on PC as well as Smartphone platforms.
Initially the project is focusing on usability aspects and introduction in real care environments. Two application areas are being studied; Congestive Heart failure and Neonatal home care.
