The reportOn 1 December the WiSE (Women In Science) network arranged a half day seminar to facilitate the presentation of the report “Attractive Academia- Selection processes from PhD to further academic career with special emphasis on the supervisor relationship”.

About 80 researchers, students and university employees had signed up for the seminar that took place in RunAn at Chalmers. Docent Helena Olofsdotter Stensöta, and Sara Hun, research assistant at the Political Science Department at University of Gothenburg, conducted the study on behalf of WiSE. The study was presented by Helena herself, commented by the Chalmers president Stefan Bengtsson as well as Ivan Mijakovic, leader of the Life Science area of advance. After that the results and the current equality work at Chalmers were discussed by a panel with Sofia Månsson, Management and Organization Support at Chalmers, Johanna Andersson, Head of equality work at Chalmers, Onur Kaya, PhD student and representative in Chalmers Doctoral Students Guild, Lennart Svensson, Professor and experienced supervisor
and Helena Olofsdotter Stensöta, Associate Professor at the Department of Political Science at GU. Moyra McDill, the doctoral students’ representative at Chalmers, was moderating the discussions.
